Huntress Fishing Charters

Huntress Fishing Charters operates from the central Queensland port of Mackay, where the local fishing is second to none. The operators have lots of local knowledge and are expert in tatgetting many different species of fish. Coral trout and Sweetlip Nannigai, Cod, Red Emporer, Spanish mackeral, Cobia and many other species are common.The operators have two boats that target different species. "Brute Strength" is their sports fishing boat for targetting game species like Giant Trevalley or Mackeral. She is also used in the local impounments for barramundi fishing charters. Huntress is a 38 foot westcoaster style boat with a huge aft deck and is mainly used for reef fishing and overnight charters.

Huntress departs from the Mackay harbour at 6:30am for most trips and returns to the harbour around 4 pm. The trip includes lunch and all fishing equipment, bait and ice. Cold drinks are available for purchase on board. If you are a novice fisherman, dont worry as the crew will be only too happy to show you the ropes.

During the year night or day trips to Kinchant dam targeting metre plus Barramundi are a sports fishermans dream. Huntress is also available for full boat charter for both game fishing and diving charters. Extended charters to the Great Barrier Reef on can be arranged on request.
